KINSHIP Launches its In-house Library Collection with “Institutions of Estate Planning and Patrimonial Private International Law”

KINSHIP, the firm specializing in advising international high-net-worth clients in Spain, launches its in-house library collection with a first volume entitled Institutions of Estate Planning and Patrimonial Private International Law.

Authored by Miguel Checa Martínez, PhD in Law and Of Counsel at the firm, this is the first work in Spain to address international estate planning in a systematic and rigorous manner from the perspective of patrimonial private international law.

Published under the imprint of the prestigious Marcial Pons publishing house, Institutions of Estate Planning and Patrimonial Private International Law aims to offer “another way of looking at traditional international civil law.” The book is now available in the publisher’s physical and online bookstores.

The firm, which will celebrate its fifth anniversary in 2026, will soon add new specialized titles to the collection. With the launch of the KINSHIP in-house library collection, the firm reinforces its commitment to research and education in emerging legal fields.

Miguel Checa, Of Counsel at KINSHIP, holds a PhD in Law from the Complutense University of Madrid and is a Professor of International Private Law. The author has more than 30 years of academic experience at Spanish universities, which he has combined with over 15 years as a legal adviser at various law firms, mainly in international litigation, international wealth planning (cross-border estate planning), and international family law, including complex cases involving parallel litigation before Spanish and foreign courts.

Checa is the author of more than 50 academic publications, including monographs and book chapters published by leading Spanish legal publishers, as well as articles in specialized legal journals.
